South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control’s PeeDee
PH Region provides public health services in Georgetown, Horry, and Wil-
liamsburg as well as nine other counties in the state. DHEC is committed to
providing preventive health services such as immunizations, family planning,
health education, restaurant sanitation, detecting health problems early that
may affect communities, disease surveillance to identify communicable ill-
nesses, and vital statistics such as birth and death certificates.
