Make the most of your trip to the beach and be sure to follow both the county and city beach laws and regulations.

Pet Rules & Regulations
• May 1 - Labor Day - Animals are not allowed on the beach from 10am - 5pm
• March 1 and Oct. 31 - It is unlawful to ride a horse or other animal on the public beach or within public marsh areas within the county limits
Beach Shading Devices
• Shading devices of any kind cannot be tied, bound, or connected in any manner.
• No items can be left on the beach between the hours of 7 p.m. and 8 a.m.
• Shading devices, other than circular umbrellas with a circular shade no greater than seven feet six inches (7’6”) in diameter and small
pop-up/blow-up cabanas for infants and very small children, are not permitted on the beach (year-round).

Pet Rules & Regulations
• Horses are not allowed on the beach March 15 - Sept. 15
• Riding horses on Pawleys Island or Huntington Beach State Park is prohibited year round.
• Dogs are allowed on public beaches if accompanied by the owner or keeper and on a leash or under the control of a responsible person
to whom the dog is obedient on command.
Beach Shading Devices
• No tents, cabanas or other items may be left overnight. Items left overnight will be considered abandoned and may be removed
• No personal property allowed within 25 feet of any emergency beach access.
